The world is filled with rich beverages that make it easy for people to choose their pick from the basket and enjoy its flavors and benefits. Every country and person has its favorite. Tea is one such beverage, which is good for the health. As this beverage too is available in several different flavors and types, it becomes quite difficult to pick one. Two teas however have surpassed other teas an increased in demand of the people- Chamomile and Oolong. Oolong tea in India and chamomile tea in India is famous for its rich aroma and multiple benefits it has to offer.


Chamomile Tea


Chamomile is an herbal tisane hat was used for its curative properties in ancient Egypt. As soon as the tea is infused, the flower buds give off a strong floral fragrance and a deep yellow color. Chamomile tea is known for its calming properties and makes it a great tea to drink before bedtime. Tea from the flower of chamomile is good for digestion and an upsetting stomach. Person allergic to ragweed should not drink this tea.


The name Chamomile comes from Greek word that means "ground apple". In ancient Egypt, this tea was prescribed as a remedy to remove cold. The Romans used Chamomile as a beverage and as incense. A fact that most people do not know about this plant is that it is known as the Plant's Physician. It is believed that plants that grow around chamomile mysteriously benefit from its curative properties. The Chamomile plant has the capability to revive sick plants and keep plants healthy too.

Oolong Tea - Wuyi Rock


The best and the darkest oolong tea found in India is Wuyi Rock. This tea is cultivated in the Wuyi Mountains in Nanping Prefecture. The Oolong tea harvested in this region is done in very small qualities as the Wuyi Mountains is recognized as a UNESCO biodiversity site. The tea has a unique chocolaty and earthly fragrance, which is lend to due to soil and climatic condition of the region. No other oolong tea is India has this distinctive flavor like this tea.


Another type of Oolong tea quite famous among people is the Se Chung tea. This tea comes from the Fujian Province in China. This beverage is a unique unrolled tea that is sophisticated, spicy and fragrant. The tealeaf is dark, fermented and has charcoal brown leaf with green highlights. The tea has an earthly flavor. Once the tea is prepared in its normal method, it reveals dark amber liquor that has flavors of peonies and chrysanthemums. It also has a spicy peppery finish. Se Chung tea has the capability to heal cold sickness. Many Chinese legends are associated with this tea.


If you plan to have oolong tea or chamomile tea in India it is always better to know more about the tea, its properties and its origin to better taste it and know what goes into its making. Tea is a royal drink, hence it needs royal treatment.
